So. Question. How in the name of all hell do you remove the top steering shroud from a '97 Blazer?! Does it involve removing the lock cylinder as well? And if so, how does one do that?
Everything I'm finding is for 98+, which has a different style of shroud where the top and bottom mate around the lock cylinder.
But the 97 I have, has the top shroud go AROUND the lock cylinder, as seen here (Mine is slightly broken in a desperation move):
If you are trying to remove the lock cylinder, on my 2002 you just need the bottom half off to get to the release hole to release the cylinder. Mine had the little bolts that released the top half of the shroud. Hope this helps a little.
