Longer start time after fuel pump replacement

Default Longer start time after fuel pump replacement

That's it in a nutshell. My '99 blazer used to start almost instantly but now cranks maybe a second or two and this occured since replacing the fuel pump. I also replaced fuel filter. Give me your thoughts.

Another thing that it does is when you're going down the highway, it sorta surges almost as if I'm moving the gas pedal slightly but I'm not. could this be related? Last Sunday, I sprayed some MAF cleaner according to directions. Thought that may have caused it. It's my wife's vehicle and so I ....you know what I mean!

A few guys on here(including myself) have that little surge on the highway. I remember a thread about it. I'll see if I can find it. Just a Blazer thing.
