Default Loose steering - Idler Arm?

I was changing my wireset and motor mounts when I remembered that my steering was loose. When the blazer is lifted and you put your hands at the 3 and 9 position it will rock back and forth. I got under the truck and wiggled the passenger tire and looked at the motions going on. Initially the tie rods look fine. I cant tell if I need to tighten them or leave them alone. Reason being is when I look up at the Idler arm where the arm meets the bracket it goes up and down. I have a feeling this is what is giving the play when wiggling the tire.

Connections between the tie rod and center link seem to be fine, no looseness.

Any ideas? Or have I pretty much hit the nail on the head? I just cant tell if the idler arm is supposed to have any play in it.

There should be no vertical movement in the idler arm. It's there to keep the steering linkage level, just like the pitman arm does on the driver side. If it's moving up and down, it's worn out.
