Every morning in hot or cold weather mine sounds like an industrial vacuum when I first start it, but quiets down within seconds. Done it since new. In my experience if you can fit a belt driven fan that's what you use. They are far more efficient than an electric fan at cooling your motor. If your clutch is working properly they don't pull much for hp from the engine either.
