Whenever, I tap (or apply) the brake pedal, there is a very loud clicking coming out of a relay in steering column area. What relay is this ?

The relay just started this when I pulled into park here at work. Why would it get real loud out of the blue ?

 

Shifter interlock, perhaps?

No. That's located up behind the brake pedal itself.
