Loud screech ????

Loud screech ????

When I first start up in the morning I get a loud screech from the engine compartment. The serpentine belt was already replaced. Any ideas????

Idler pulley bearing on it's way out? maybe the alternator?

oisinirish is an unknown quantity at this point

Idler or tensioner? I'd check both, and while you have the belt off check all the other pulleys as well.

Since you've replaced the belt I would check the tensioner, it's the most likely culprit
