Default low gas light

I have a 1999 and a 2002. But for the 1999 Chevy Blazzer how much gas do I have left when the low gas light comes on. And does anyone know how many gal. per mile the 1999 gets?

Thankx

My wife has a '98, and I can guarantee at least 50 miles on the highway at 27 MPG before she decides to stop fuel up! Lot less in city driving! Still has a couple gallons in the tank after fillup.

i believe that american industry standard is around 3 gallons left when the light comes on, but im not certain...

also, its hard to tell you what mileage you will get because it varies from driver to driver, and depnding no the area.

it says 19 gal in my owners manual. but, yeah, my truck only takes 13-14 at the fill-up. must be a big reserve.

Can't help you much more there. My conversion of litres to gallons is quite rusty and of course it would not necessarily be to u.s. gallons anyway. LOL

I will say that I would not recommend letting it get too low though unless you have money to burn on replacing fuel pumps. (approx. 600 cdn incl. labour i have heard).

I learned my lesson with my Beretta after replacing 2 pumps.
When I reach the 1/4 line I fill-er-up.
