2002 chevy s-10 blazer had tranny rebuilt and then drove it for two days and filled it up with gas and it started stumbling and died . Now when you start it it will run till you put it in gear then it loses all signs of life, i.e.lights, engine stalls, i mean it has nothing on at all tried diagnosing it but plug reader in to diag. port and no power there. im thinking 5 gal of gas and a match?

Sounds like bad gas, siphon it out and put fresh gas in it. Start simple.

Was the trans that was in it rebuilt or was a different rebuilt trans installed?

Sounds like the trans has shorted-out. Have you checked all the fuses? Time to call the trans shop that did the work and repair it under warranty.
