Default Manual HVAC Question

On the manual HVAC system, with the controller at the OFF position I still get air flow from dash and floor vents, the temperature of which varies with the temp control.

Was wondering if this is normal or not. I would think that OFF means OFF, but perhaps not. If not normal, then suggestions as to where to look.

I have already checked the white lever above the transmission hump and nothing broken there. Both vacuum actuators appear to be working correctly.

Appreciate any comments....well...maybe not all comments.....LOL...

Normal. With the mode switch in the OFF position, no voltage is supplied to the blower switch, and all of the actuators go to their default position, (floor and dash). When the vehicle is in motion, air entering the cowl will be moved through the ducts, and yes, you can feel it. If you open a window, you will feel it even more. Temperature can be adjusted regardless of mode or fan position.

Lanny, I have often wondered about this same thing. It's nice to know it is normal. Thanks, Captain.
