motor mount broken....
#3
ok i guess my situation could be a bad one then. i recently had to go up in size on starter bolts to 7/16 and use threaded inserts due to some one before me drilling both holes at an angle towards the back of truck.... of course now my starter will not engage into the flex plate. it is very close but no cigar.any ideas you may have for this situation would be great.

bear with me here - from reading posts your starter sits away from the flex plate too far - you were talking on gettin a pull yard starter - you might try filing down the mounting face witch will move the starter higher to catch on the flex plate -make sure you file it square and don't slant the face - just the oppisite of the reason why you get shims with a rebuilt starter they move the starter down away from the flex plate - had ta do this ta a few fords over the years - you know fords and their better ideas
