Default Multifunction switch/wiper problems

Some what of a newbe How can you tell if yor multifunction switch is the problem or the wiper motor? When I first turn mine on in the lowest speed it works great the few first swipes then after that the time between sweeps gets less. If I go to the middle speed there is hardly no delay between sweeps. I read some threads that there is a circuit board that is replaceable in the wiper that might be the problem. How do I replace this and where can I get one if it is the problem. Mine is a 2002 LS

yup sounds like the pulse board. its behind the black plastic cover on the wiper motor. just a circuit board. new about 25 bucks at autozone, comes with directions takes about 10 minutes and do it with the wiper motor in the truck pretty easy
