Hello All. Im a new user on here. Any help is very much appreciated. My 1995 Chevy Blazer with a 4.3L Vortec in it, is Idling very rough and burns extremely rich, you can smell it! Idle's rough when cold, but idle's even worse when warmed up. Im after replacing recently, Map Sensor, 02 sensor's, rotor cap,plugs and plug wire's, cadlatic converter,don't think I spelled that right. EGR Valve, Im sure I am forgetting other parts I have replaced. Like I say it burns really rich, and you can see the black on the tail pipe. This is me and my wifes daily driver and only vehicle. I really need to get this thing fixed, I dont want to junk it, Its near mint shape inside and out,would be a shame. Oh yes, the other day I had it at a mechanic shop and on the scanner, and it say's engine misfire, and burning rich. Thats all it said. Any help here would be so much appreciated. Hey sorry for your truck luck,i have the same prob no misfire fresh tune up, fuel filter.no power til 3rd gear kicks in then its a rocket lets help each other

 

What kind of spark plugs do you have on there? Do you have a Check Engine Light on? Have you had any problems with your Oxygen Sensors?

 

have you pulled your manifold tuning valve to check the FPR for a leak? if its leaking it will cause that too. look inside for fuel puddling....i found some in my 95.....so now im gonna replace the entire spider....

 

Had same issue with my 95 i had to replace my intake manifold gasket passager side was in three pieces

 

was it the original intake gasket? or had they been replaced before? and where did you buy the new replacement gaskets from? thanks
