Default My Blazer wont start

I have a 2002 Blazer LT 4x4. Drove about an hour and a half today at highway speeds,n when I got home I tried to start it back up and it cranks but wont start. Left it sit for an hour or so, got it started. Started and shut it off three times, no problem....tried to start it a fourth time and the same problem...it cranks but wont start...any ideas??

Default RE: My Blazer wont start

I would start by performing a fuel pressure test. Does it seem to not want to start when it is hot (after it has run for a bit) or is it more spuratic than that? Are there any conditions which you can think of that lead to the no-start condition?

The most common problem causing this symptom is a failing fuel pump. This can be verified by testing the fuel pressure and seeing if you can get the no-start condition. These trucks need at least 52psi to start.

Another thing that I was leaning towards was a failing ICM (ignition control module) due to heat buildup. This is what I was trying to determine through the questions I asked.

Yet another possibility is a failing ignition switch in the steering column. Do you notice the security light being illuminated during the no-start condition?

BTW, welcome to the forum!!
