need help 2000 gmc jimmy

Default need help 2000 gmc jimmy

hello.i hope someone can help me.i have a 2000 gmc jimmy.i was in the drive through at mc donalds.my truck just shut off with no warning.no check engine light came on.it just cranks and does not start.im getting spark from the coil.i have fuel pressure from the shrader valve.i can hear the fuel pump turn on.i hope someone can help me out

Yuo need spark at the plugs and what psi are you getting at the shrader valve?

What happens if you pour a little gas into the throttle body? Or spray some starting fluid in there?......Careful..Keep yourself away from throttle body opening in case of a backfire.

I think what newguy meant was that you could be losing spark somewhere between the coil and plugs.

If you're not getting spark at the plugs ,Coil wires tend to go bad, and since youre not firing in any cylinders, that would be a good place to start. Measure resistance(ohms) from one end of the coil wire to the other. Could also remove the distributor cap and check it, and the rotor
