Default Need help

ok not sure how the forum works so forgive me if im posting in the wrong place but i have an issue with my 1995 blazer. ok so it runs fine for awhile while im driving then out of nowhere the engine starts high reving like im in neautral or something then after a fem minutes its like it kicks back in gear. it is also sluggish like i have no power when i try to take off after it has started doing this. Ive had the blazer for about a year and a half now and its never given e any problems before. i have no idea what it could be please help.

have you checked the vac lines?
sometimes a vac leak can mess with the engine in ways that you described.
any codes?
did you do any work on it before this started?

checked the vac lines they are good.. took it to auto zone a few times to hook it up to a code scanner but it will not read anything it just says error. havent done any work to it since ive had it the only thing ive done is run seafoam spray through it a couple months ago but it ran fine after i did that im wondering if it may be the drive linkage because the engine runs good?

1995 had 2 different fuel injection systems and 3 different computer systems, (a nightmare year). This is most likely why AZ can retrieve the DTC's. You'll need to find a shop that has a scan tool that can communicate with OBD1.5 systems. Post the DTC's and we can help you.

Also, check the fuel filter along with fuel pressure and leakdown. Key ON, engine OFF, fuel pump running: pressure must be 55psi to 61psi, (CMFI) and 60psi to 66psi, (CSFI). After the pump shuts off, pressure must remain above 50psi on CMFI systems, and above 55psi for CSFI systems for at least 10 minutes. Post your results.

Have you changed the transmission fluid, filter and gasket lately? Needs to be done every 36K miles, (if you want the trans to last).

Yup those were my thoughts, runs ok when cool then warmer & starts acting up - to me that = trans fluid getting hot/thinner & causing it to slip.
Get on that quick & change the fluid out or have it back flushed (to remove the trans fluid in the converter).
If you can't get the done right away possibly suck out some trans fluid from the dipstick tube & add some Lucas Mucas for transmissions. (warm it in hot water beforehand, trust me lol).
Unless you have an after market trans pan or it's been modified, the only way to remove fluid is from dropping or cracking the pan loose or siphoning it up through a tube from the trans dipstick tube.
Siphoning is by far the easier & cleaner way.

Default I have a FSM manual for the 1995 blazer

If you can give trouble codes, let me know. I will help. Secondly, you most likely have the dreaded 1.5 obd system. If the port is under the dash and looks like an obd2 port, is is the obd 1.5 system. either get an autoxray code scout with the GM specific cable (order seperately) it will read the codes and clear them out.

If you lived near Portland Or, I could hook my tech 1 code scanner and diagnose your system. Either way, we are her to help.
