Put motor in out of 2000 now when turn the key get dash lights but no p,r,n,d or odometer, all digital, put new neutral safety switch in cause got ah lightly damage in removal of old motor, just went and put new starter in and now if try to jump it at the starter the appendix doesn't spin just jumps out

 

I had a blown and seized motor, pulled motor, trans, and transfer case, replaced it all with a newer 2000 motor with 60000 k on it, now am trying to finish it up and I can't seem to find out how to hook up the other, throttle?choke? Cable to the throttle body carb, and when I try to start the truck all the accessories turn on except for the transmission gauge cluster and the odometer, digital display. I replaced the neutral safety switch because it got slightly damaged in removal, I did have the cluster at one time a few days ago, but since replaced the starter they will not appear anymore and will not crank over, please help I'm stumped
