ok the battery in my blazer was bad so i replaced it and as soon as i put it in , the dash lights would not come on but the fuel guage on the dash worked , all the other lights come on , it turns over fine , fuel pumpcomes on but it wont start . but if i leave the key turned to the accsessary the dash light would come on after 5 seconds or so then it would start and there was a slight clicking noise before the dash lights came on. now the dash lights wont come on and it wont start . can someone please help me troubleshoot this?

first off this isnt the area to post problems. it needs to be in the tech section. (a mod will probably move it for you). Second we need to know the vehicle information.

No one can post in the Gen Tech section. You must choose the appropriate section. But since you already have this thread, there is no need to double post.

I will move this to the appropriate section once you give us a shred of information about your vehicle... Year, engine, drivetrain, and anything else you feel applies would be a good start.

I moved this to the correct section for you. You can go into 'My Profile' and create a signature with your vehicle info (see mine below for example).

This sounds like an ignition switch issue.
