I know I asks this a lonbg time ago and had the diagram saved but I lost it.
If somebody would be so kind to post a copy of the vaccum line diagram to get the engine running on a 96 gmc jimmy your help would greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance Aaron.PS yes I did search and the results only came back with me being frustrated.

Does anyone know about the plastic ball under the hood of the 96 jimmy,does have 2 connections or one.It looks to me that I have one broke off but Im unsure.

 

I think it is only 1 line, but I have a 2000 so I don't have the ball under the hood. I have the box in the fender.

 

I can confirm its only 1 line to the ball under the hood.I took it off and looked at it.
Now if I can get an answer to what its used for that would also help me out.

 

Hey group I realy need some answers kind quick asap.First of Tajohns the vaccum line diagram that you posted is for the 2000 that you have?
Also I need to know if I can use the same size line on the engine?

 

That diagram is for any 2000 blazer, jimmy, bravada, or s10 with a 4.3. The vacuum lines should be the same size. The ball under the hood is basically for vacuum storage from what I understand.

 

Ok thanks for your reply Ive confirmed the same thing from other peopleI have spoken with.My mechanic is trying to tell me its used for cruise control lol.I told him no the cruise control has a spring load rubber covered cable that hooks up to the throttle bracket.
TAJohns do you know if your charcoal canister is located in the gas tank?It would literaly inside the tank but the tanks have a molded place for the canister to fit in.
