Default Need some help with driver side door

My driver side window seems to make a thunking sound when putting it all the way down. The thunking sound seems to happen when the last 1/3 of the window is going down. It's a 2002 Blazer LS 4-door with power windows. How easy would this be to fix? Is it just the window coming off of the track?

Also, tried searching but got frustrated and gave up because I wasn't getting anywhere. Does anyone know the GM part number for the plastic clips that retain the door panels to the doors?

Found the plastic clips for the door panels on amazon, but still wondering about the issue with my driver side window. As the window is almost completely down it starts to vibrate the door panel. When putting the window up, it makes a thunk sound before it is almost completely closed. Is this an easy fix? What is actually the problem?

Plastic and pot metal gears, rods, bars, springs, strange angles, rivets, have always been stuff thats not gone well for me. Here on LI we have lot's of back road body & fender guys. You might try to track one down. Sure you have them in NJ. Most likely one of the rivets came a little loose and something got cockeyed, ground up one of the gears or some such BS.....You can start taking it apart yourself but there could be rivet drilling and tricks of the trade that are voodoo to us.

The most likely cause is the rivets that hold the power window motor to the door. The bottom ones pull out or break over time and the motor thunks against the door when you use the power windows. Pull the door panel off and look. It is easy to spot. I just drilled them all out and used small bolts with washers, nuts and blue loctite. Cheap and easy fix.

I had the same problem just a few weeks ago. I took the door panel off and watched it as the window rolled down I saw the a rivet pull through the metal (thunk) and then pop back in after I rolled it up. Drilled it out and stuck a short nut and bolt and it was nice and quiet.

That was exactly it! I had 2 that were loose so I drilled them out and used 2 bolts with wing nuts to secure it (all I had floating around). No more thunk when putting the window up or down.
