Hi all, got myself a Blazer last sat, been wanting one since my older bro had one back in the 90s. Found an '01 2dr 4x4 5spd with 199Km. Does need some work thou, its throwing a code for the crankshaft position sensor (p0335) I swapped the sensor and still throwing the code. Any thoughts would be helpful? Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Check out the technical article section of the forum. It has a lot of info that might help. Posting your question with symptoms in the Engine-Drivetrain section will get a lot better response. This area of the forum is primarily for introductions.

Thanks, it was kinda meant to be an intro post & I guess a question at the same time. Looks like its been moved tho.

I've been googling & reading through the forum and have seen a bunch of fixes, I'm gonna grab the shim & give it a shot. It didn't look to be rubbing but its a cheap part & worth a shot. I'm gonna be leaving it with my mechanic on monday and he's gonna look the whole truck over anyways.

I did get under the truck yesterday and pulled the wire, one of the contacts seemed to have some dirt or something in it. I cleaned it out and the stuttering isn't as bad, so I'm thinking it's probably an electrical issue =/

So I put the shim on the sensor and that fixed the tach bouncing and hesitation but now there's a horrible knock... I just can't win, not a good start to my blazer ownership its gonna sit in the driveway for the rest of the weekend and going to the mechanic first thing monday morning.
