Hello, I have had many blazer/jimmy's in my life but the is my first "newer" one. It is a 2004 2 door 2wd. I got a great deal on it and it only has 40,000 mile on it. I have had it for about a year now and have a couple of problems. First is an intermittion starting problem. Seems like when When it is cold sometimes the car acts like it is dead. I replaced the battery and checked the connections. When I push the key up in the cylinder it starts. Could the ignition switch be going bad already? Also the the tilt wheel is stuck in the up position. Any help would be great.......SFC

I would say the starter solenoid is sticking. May be possible to replace just the solenoid, but easier to buy a new starter with one. No ideas on the tilt isuue...

If moving the key in the lock cylinder makes it start, then that likely is the problem area.

Do ever have trouble getting the key to turn in the cylinder? If so, then the key may be worn and in need of replacement. If not, then the cylinder itself may be worn.
