There are many considerations to account for when deciding to put money into a vehicle. How much money? Do you love the Blazer? Do you want something different? Think about it a while. It may be worth it to put $500 into but not $5000.

With some more detailed information about your situation some of us might be able to give you some useful insight.

I have replaced the ac, starter and a few other parts over the years. I have owned it for 11 years, second owner. I have a dented hood that doesnt close right because of accident. I have a dent below small vent window on drivers side and a dent in rear bumper. The windshield where it is tinted on top looks like its getting disolored. The color has faded from the hot Florida sun. The interior is in great shape even dashboard. Its running rough since last trip to Jersey and back. It bucks sometimes when driving it. The gas mileage is 11 mpg. I have white smoke coming out of tailpipe. I took it off the road 3 months ago as I use my roommates car while he is serving in Afghanistan the next year. I start it up everyday and take it for a spin in the community I live in. Noise when I turn steering wheel. Not sure what else is up. Was thinking of getting a compression check done if there is a way to determine how much more life she's got in her.....I do love my blazer

what do you need to spend to get it road worthy again ?
White smoke could be burning antifreeze

if the money that it takes to fix could buy an already road worthy unit ???
