Default New Serpentine Belt

What is a good brand belt? Really tired of the chirping/squeaking. Brand/model number? 2000 Bravada with 4.3 and a/c.
Thanks,
RTJ49

Yep, I run them on everything I've ever driven.

I've always been partial to Gatorbacks as well.

Thanks for the replies. II can not find a belt number, for a gatorback, to fit my 2000 Bravada. Any help and thanks.

The company that was making the Gatorbacks belts under license using the Goodyear name was acquired by another company, who for a while was making them under the brand "Continental Elite" but seems to have been phasing them out, which may be a sign of things to come as these vehicles continue to age.

This is one of the better ones you can get right now: https://amzn.to/37He34H

Really generally though, any quality belt from a decent parts store is typically going to be fine, it's not like belts are new technology that's hard to engineer. If you put in a quality replacement and are still getting squeaking, it's probably the idler wheel, tensioner, or else a pulley noise that no magic belt is going to fix.

I am a cheap-o and have been throwing Duralast on all my (5 vehicles) for while. The latest (alternator) belt I threw on my Grand Vitara squeaked and slipped right outta the gate. I double checked all the pulleys for freedom and they were fine. I got it to stop but feel that I have the belt over tight and I hate side loading that alternator that much.

If it recurs I am gonna dump it.

Long way of saying Duralast works for me - most of the time...

Worn pulleys will cause the same symptoms.
