Default New starter installation question

I'm a bit of a novice. Is the wire laying on top of the starter ok? I had the starter raced last week. I am worried about it being in very close proximity of the exhaust pipe coming off side of engine.
Please let me know your thoughts. Again, keep in mind I am a newbie fixing truck.

Thank you

I have not had to put a starter in mine yet so I can't tell you if mine is the same but I would move the wire if I could. If you can't move it out of the way it wouldn't hurt to wrap it with some heat tape for protection.

If I remember correctly, the wire is supposed to run straight up from the starter, not loop down like that.
