the old tentionor was shot, pulley was at a angle it was so bad, belt had seen better days too. got a new belt and tensioner, belt seems to be a little long or something, the tensionor is at the end of its limit for applieing tension. noticed some rubber material on tentioner like it may be slipping, could the belt have been made a little long? this motor has a/c i would think that if i had gotton a non-a/c belt it would be too short and id be the other end of the tensionor, if it would even go on at all. should i go get another belt and try it or try removing the "stop" on the tensionor so it can put more tension on the belt? the one thing i didnt try was the old belt, still have it though. heres a pic if it helps.

You have the wrong belt. Get the correct belt. Take the old one in with you to compare.
