Ok guys picked up this little gem for 800.00 other than rocker panels and the hitch she’s the cleanest ZR2 I’ve seen from Indiana in years. She’s got a blown motor that still runs and drives about 70’ before power loss begins. I have a motor for it from my Blazer I picked up in Florida for my project. Any suggestions on maintenance I should inspect or do before giving to my dad.
Fenders are starting to rust at bottom behind flare on both sides and rockers are gone behind fender. Inside defenders are solid and rust free, bed is rust free and behind flares on bed is rust free. My nieghbor also inspected and he is super surprised at its condition as well. Looking for any locations I should go over to help things drain during rain or snow and any locations that need inspection and preventative maintenance to prevent future rust and of course mechanical failure. Considering doing bravado axle swap so I don’t have to worry bout 4x failure on my dad when h needs it.
