Hey George, quick question before I do anything to this, do I need the plugs plugged into the NSS if I bypass it? I was just gonna jump the plug with a piece of wire will that work? Aside from the purple wires

Unplug both wires from the VSS and connect them together then insulate the exposed wires/connectors. zip tie the finished hack to something to prevent damage.

here is the pin out it only has 1 purple with white strip, I got the pin out online this is exactly what’s on mine so IF I am not mistaken purple/white would go to yellow in this case???After we got this part done it should turn over at the ignition assuming it doesn’t what are we checking next I want to be able to have this completely diagnosed by payday then can buy the parts needed and get her cleaned up it is my daily it runs , it just has to be started at the relay

I have the same year and the service manuals. Let me check that pinout/wire colors and update my recommendation later tonight when I get home.

Man this wiring circuit is a mess across multiple sources. Does your C2 connector have the same position and wire colors as your diagram in your last post? If so then yes I believe that you need to short E/ppl-wht to G/yel. If the back of the connector is open then you can back probe the connectors. Another approach is to release the pins from the connector with a small scre driver or a special tool for this.

That diagram I posted is the exact pin out on my truck I just replaced the NSS and soldered two new connectors on it there I just can’t adjust the nss itself because I have another starting issue, like I said, if I can get the nss out the way till I can move onto test the next thing I am pretty sure I got it narrowed down to the ignition switch like i said but not 100% sure. I should be able to buy an ignition switch tomorrow and it needs a shift cable if I can get both those tomorrow I will. I only have enough to get one or the other till Friday

Hey bud I haven’t put this off been busy and waiting to get paid sometime today I’m grabbing a ign switch for her, I am really hoping and praying it ain’t more serious because she is acting really weird sometimes it don’t wanna start it fires almost like it is out of time chug chug and won’t run, if I flick the ignition and play with it a little it eventually fires up and runs normally I REALLY need tools and parts I need a scanner, I really want to see what it’s doing, I have a multi meter but I need someone confident on the ignition while I am under the hood to check voltage and whatnot but the only person is only available every so often so hopefully after I get this ign switch in and grab a shift cable I can have my little brother jump in and help he is good and knows his ****, I can do the ign switch, cable I need his help and then back to adjust the NSS and HOPEFULLY fingers crossed it will fix it if not just another puzzle to work on

Oka y I put a new ign switch in works fixed ALOT of issues, but still no crank I know I need to adjust the NSS next to hopefully get it to crank at key, I’m going to bypass it to make double certain that’s the issue, now the shift cable needs to be replaced and I should be 100 no DTCs and everything working as it is supposed to fingers crossed, if that’s all sorted next will be going and doing ALL FLUIDs changes and filters, plugs and wires and take care of the cosmetics and add human comforts stereo, electric leather seats sand and paint the troubled areas… I’m excited hopefully George, this works, I need parts I searched all day no parts store around me stocks the shift cable imma order it online
