No spark
2000 4wd blazer 4.3 Got in and no start! turns over but no start. Shot a bit of quick start in the air intake to see if its a fuel problem still no kick. Did a new fuel pump last year anyways. Put my old timeing light on the coil wire and turned it over,No spark. Walked to the parts store and bought a new coil.I know ,but worth a shot. Still no start. It has shown a bit of hesitation starting cold and at the first stop sign. 10- deg ? ! Checked all the fuses 3 in the box under hood all labled " ign" None in the box inside seem to be related to ignition. Any ideas? Ya its to cold yet for the Harley!

Check for voltage at the ignition coil with the ignition in the RUN position. Should show battery voltage on the pink wire. Then, using a test light, connect the alligator clip to battery positive and probe the white with black trace wire at the ignition coil. With the starter cranking the engine, the test light should pulse, (blink). Post your results.

It shows Batt. voltage on the pink but no flashing of the test light on the Wht/w blk. I was able to get to work today and picked up my Haynes book. Did the resistance checks on the coil. Looks ok on all 3 tests. Open Primary to ground , 1.2 ohms on the primary and 5 k + primary to secondary. so... what now Captain?

Do yourself a huge favor and set the Haynes manual aside.
The ignition module is not triggering the ignition coil to fire. It may or may not be the ignition module that is at fault. Follow the steps in this link to determine what/where the problem is.
