When it is cold and cranks but no start. Do you have 1" of blue spark? Are your fuel pressures OK?

Try hitting the electronic elements with a heat gun or hair dryer, one at a time - ignition module, coil, ECM, etc

I was about to as the same. How do You know, there is no spark? Your assumption, I guess...? Ignition system is a rather sturdy design and - if something fails on cold only, that would be the coil.

Have a look into another issue, pointed out by Oldeerslayer in another topic:
Abraham Torres-Arredondo, the author of the series on Vortec trouble shooting: Yes, let me repeat that one more time: As crazy as this sounds... the fuel pump will deliver enough fuel to keep the engine running, but not enough to start it when you're cranking the engine.... and this makes a lot of folks think that the problem lies anywhere else but in the fuel pump!
You should tap with a pressure gauge to the fuel line and do the pressure check.
