NO start 2000 4X4 LT blazer altenator

Im driving at 60mph no problems, truck just shuts off like I turned it off.I tried to start it battery was fine turned over fine no rumble no start.

I pulled the alternator had it tested, it was putting out to much voltage.I installed a new one.I had the battery tested it was fine passed all tests. I re-installed the battery. I tried to start it no dice same results no rumble or start.

I checked the fuel pressure it holds at 59-60 fine.
What other damage could have occurred from my Alternator making to much voltage? Where do I start from here?

check the main 175A Fuse coming off the fusible link from the alternator. i have included a diagram for you. If the alternator is putting out to much voltage and spikes it could possiby blow the fuse (or even the fusible link) and keep power from going to the fuse block.

it is located on the lower right side of the radiator support, below the battery

DesertStorm, When I turn the key to start all the lights and gauges light as normal and it turns over, would it if the main was blown? Im at work now but I'll look at it. Thanks

i apologize.. i must have missed that part.. i would still check the main fuse and make sure you check all the other fuses.. beyond that it will go past my knowledge. maybe another member has experienced this before and can shed some light

Update

OK I pulled the coil plug tried to hold it close to the coil wife turned the key no spark.

Then I pulled the coil wire from the distributor, stuck a spark plug in the end with a clamp, turned the key NO SPARK, did I need to ground the plug?

I pulled a plug placed it back in the boot, held it, turned the key NO SPARK.

Whats next? the coil is 2 years old, how do I test it

Again the fuel pressure is 59-60, I dumped a few OZ of gas in the TB, no stumble rumble nothing just turns over clean.

Update just purchased an inline spark plug tester I have no spark.

Can I use my inline spark plug tester on my coil tower to my distributor ??

Sounds like the ignition module has died.

OK used the spark plug tester on the coil tower I have spark but does NOT look to bright then I checked some plugs at random some have spark some dont I think Ill get a distributor cap and button.

How can I tell if the spark coming from the coil is strong enough??
