noise turning right
Well I am sure no one has ever heard of this but here it goes. 1998 Blazer 4x4, when I turn right it will make a grinding sound, sound like it comes from the left, kind of as if the rotor was rubbing, but I have replace a bad front axle(left side), caliper, rotor, and pads. Does anyone have any other suggestions for me? I am tired of throwing parts at it. If I jack it up on the left side and turn the tire when its turned right I cannot reproduce the sound. PLEASE HELP I AM GOING BROKE TRYING TO FIX THIS.....[:@]

RE: noise turning right
Well when you turn to the right you throw the force on the left wheel area, so your post does make sense.
Does it sound like a heavy metal grinding or a lighter metalic grind or rather tinny?
If it's a lighter or tinny sound it could be a dust shield behind the caliper that contacts at some part of the inner edge of the rotor as they flex on a right hand turn.
Do you have excessive play in your ball joints?

Bad Hub Bearing............

RE: noise turning right
I thought it was the bearing myself, I replaced the hub assembly and the noise was still there, talking about feeling like you wasted $140....Oh well I guess I needed to replace it......
The sound sounds like that dust shield now that you mention it, I took the wheel off then got my 2 pound hammer and make a little adjustment, I will drive it later and let you know.
Thanks for the input, much appreciated

RE: noise turning right
if it's a constant grinding sound, then it is quite possible that it is the dust shield rubbing against something from when they put in your new calipers., or the brakepads could be too close to the rotorand touching,so theywould keep grinding until enough pad is worn by thee rotor to not be touching it anymore.is the noise louder at higher speeds?,cause it sounds likepossibly awheelbearing going badas well. if there is any clunking sounds when you hit a bump or turn as well i'd say a ball joint and control arm also possibly.these are just some ideas on things to check out.

RE: noise turning right
It only makes this sound when I turn right when I am driving through a parking lot or subdivision, fairly slow speeds. When the suspension dips on the left side when I make a right turn is when it happens.
Here is what I have replaced on that side: Hub assembly, both ball joints, drive axle, caliper, rotor, brake pads, and control arm/steering knuckle(ate out due to bad ball joint).
