Noob Vac Acuator Question
Due to the copious amounts of built up corrosion on my battery tray, I plucked the battery and tray to clean them up and check out my vacuum actuator to see how she was holding up. The rubber booty looks clean, no holes or corrosion, and its a nice flat black, not a weathered dull grey-black. If i were a vacuum acuator boot, i would be proud to look that good. Seems tip-top.
My question is this: while checking the action I noticed it sucking air. I could hear a "breathing sound" as I assume it was sucking air through a vac line as I compressed the actuator. Is this normal or do I have a leak/loose line? It sounds to be coming from the rear of the engine, under the vehicle, slightly more to the Driver's side then Passenger. *Yes, right around where the TC lives.
*
Before crawling around and starting ANOTHER project while half way into another, I want to know if I am just paranoid and naive, or if I have a problem. (STATS: NP236 TC, 4 button set up, can only use Auto AWD and 2Hi) <-- not worried about that quiet yet, just to help diaagnose this issue. I have tons of saved searches to work on the 4wd AALD.
