Default Not Getting Fuel???

I have a 2000 Blazer 4x4. It's not getting fuel. I took it on a 2.5 hour trip came home shut it of and it would not start. I noticed the fuel pump was not running. After I let it set for 20 mins it almost started and the pump started working? The fuel pump seems to be running now? I just replaced the fuel pump 8 months ago. The filter did seem somewhat plugged. It acted fine on our 2.5 hr trip, no jerking, chugging or loss of power.

So far I have done the following:

1. Replaced the filter
2. replaced the MAP Sensor (after I broke it $65 down the crapper)
3. I'm getting gas up to the throttle body. (I removed fuel lines and gas is present when I turn key on)
4. If i put gas directly in the throttle body it fires up.

Is it possible the fuel pump is bad? The thought of this kills me. Maybe not enough pressure? I'm lost. GRRRRRRRRR

did you use a delco or delphi pump, these trucks are picky for pumps, if not the pump could be the fuel regualtor or the spider, hopefully not the spider

Step 1 - Test the fuel pressure with the proper gauge - link in my signature will show you how.

Do not skip step 1 if you do not have a gauge. Get a gauge. There is no other way that you could tell the difference between 50psi and the 55+psi that the engine requires to run.

And please do not post the same question in multiple sections and/or every thread you find.

I was having the same issue on my truck, verify you relay is kicking. if it is not put a slight twist on the relay prongs to see if your socket has became stretched out I spent a week and lots of money to figure this out haha, but good luck !
