a nother 4wd ?

Default a nother 4wd ?

my 4wd does not work. but the switch says it is on. does vacuum hose from the switch and t-case mak front wheels spine? and does any one have answer for this i am just mad. better yet about how much would it cost to get a whole new 4wd system, every thing but t-case

The first thing to check is the vaccuum hoses. The accuator is vaccuum controled, and the most likely cause of this problem is a vaccuum leak.

Out of countless 4wd posts here that I and many others have posted in response to this exact and other very similar questions, I am surprised that you needed to post twice in ~7hrs...

From the sounds of it, you are not getting vacuum to the front axle vacuum actuator. It is located under your battery. If you do not have vacuum here when the engine is running and 4wd engaged, then there is either a problem with the vacuum hoses to the transfer case or with the switch in the transfercase itself. Try searching for 'actuator', 'vacuum switch', and a variety of other key words that pop up as a result of those two searches.
