Default np 233 not shifting

This 98 Blazer is new to me. Trans and transfer were out when I got it. Trans appears to be gone through. Reassembled, started. Stays in 4wd lo. will not shift to 4 hi or 2 hi. Lights blink when pushed but shift motor not operating. Shifting motor "bumps" when shifting out of "park" other than that it will not move when any of the drive modes is selected.

In case you missed it, Transmission MUST be in Neutral and speed below 3MPH for any shifts into or out of of LO range. Hope that's all it is. If not you will probably need a scan tool that can diagnose the system.

I would pull the transfer case shift motor and manually shift the transfer case into 4-hi. I believe you need to turn the shaft clockwise. At least you can drive the thing.

Thanks guys, its hard to remember to include all the info when I'm writing whats wrong. Right now the Blazer is sitting on jackstands so under 3mph is no problem, I'll check the fuses this morn. I already pulled the shift motor to make sure it wasn't a mechanical problem. I spent most of the day yesterday and the day before reinstalling trans and transfer case and then getting it to start. Runs beautifully even after 3 years sitting. Former owner wasn't much of a mech so there is a lot to go through, 128k and I don't think much maintainance was done. Eric
