Default RE: odometer turning on and off

Not sure on the odometer light there but im sure there has tobe a bulb back there that can be replaced. However i do have some advise on the gas gauge (cuz mine is broken too and my buddy's 98 had the same issue). More than likely its the level sensor on the fuel pump assembly in the tank that is bad. Change it and its fixed. Problem with that is on at least the 2nd gen s-blazers the fuel pump and sensor are one piece so you have to replace both together. On older models they may be separate pieces but someone more experienced thanI would be better to ask on this one.

Any takers on help here?

On the gas gauge, you can replace just the sender on the 2nd gens. GM offers teh sender only under PN 19121300 (2Dr) & PN 19121293 (4Dr). There may be an updated part number so check with your dealer. You do have to drop the tank to replace it though. Mine is just starting to act up and I may get around to replacing it this summer sometime.

I'll check into the gauge cluster back lighting in a bit if no one else pipes in before I get back tonight.
