oil capacity

alright i know this must have been talked about several times on this website but I've done searches and i'm not having any luck...and I can't seem to find my owner's manual

so can someone please help me out? how much oil do I put in? It's a 2004 ZR2 thanks guys

step66 is an unknown quantity at this point

4.3 motor- 4.5 quarts which may bring it to just over full

4.5qts is the spec. Why would that bring it the just over full? Have you ever changed your own oil?

The engine size, 4.3L, is in now way related to to how much oil it holds. I know of some smaller gm engines that hold as much as 7 qts.
