Default Oil change

Hey guys, Im a newb here, my dad just picked up an 01 blazer and it seems like a pretty solid truck. Its about time for an oil change, how many quarts does it take? Its got the 4.3 vortec, 4x4. Also, where are the jack points?
Thanks.

Jack points? I just crawl under on the ground LOL

I guess being little has it's perks.

I have a 4.3 as well, but mine's a 93. I use one jug of oil and I'm good.

about 5 quarts. and you can put the jack under the frame behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels. you can also put it under the rear differential to lift the whole rear up, but im not sure about the front. if there is a sturdy crossmember, then you can put it there

I use a 4.4 L jug...I am guessing that is about 5 quarts like zero said. Not sure because that's the Canadian size. I think it's about 5 quarts though.

Oops...forgot to mention the brand. I usually use Castrol GTX, but I have been thinking of getting something a bit better since my truck's getting older. Any suggestions?
