Default Oil Filter Harness

I have a 2003 2dr blazer 4wd. I noticed the other day when I was chaning my oil that the Harness (Don't know tech term) that the oil filter screws into has broken off its mounts. 1. what is the name of this part 2. where can I find a replacement. 3. How difficult of a repair is this. I don't want to take her in for my oil changes when I can do them myself but I nee to ge this fix. Any info would be helpful

Thanks

If you are meaning the aluminum mount for the oil filter, the cheapest place to find one would be a pull-a-part junkyard.

Hope you have another vehicle handy as your Blazer will be out of service for this swap, but it is VERY easy! Just look over the aluminum housing and you will see the retaining bolts for this and simply remove and replace! Yes,buy the unit from a scrap yard, but purchase new gaskets from either NAPA or another reputable source and check the torque specs (as available in many places) Also inspect your oil cooling lines for leaks at the same time-another common issue on these cars! Good Luck!

Thanks for the info. I assume that I could make this repair the next time I change my oil? I see that it mounts with 2 bolts. I guess my biggest concern is the hoses that connect to the mount. I haven't taken the time to examine the connections there as of yet, but you can bet I'll have all me ducks in row to make this a quick repair (knocking on wood). Thanks for the heads up on the cooling lines too I will make sure to do that.
