Low oil pressure when hot and at idle means the main and rod bearings are probably worn out. While there are other things that can cause it with that many miles it could be worn out. Sorry to say the engine sounds to me as if its on its last leg.

You could check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge to be sure and you could also replace the oil pressure sending unit but im guessing that wont help.

If ya keep if off idle by holding it about 1000 or so rpm in neutral that might help ya get some more miles out of it. But IMO its gonna be time for a new engine soon.

You can get full reman engines for about 1600$. if you do it yourself with other parts looking at about 2000$ total for the repairs. Or you can try to find a junk yard engine but ya never know what your getting there IMO.

Have you verified the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge? You can put a 'T' in the line where the stock sending unit is plumbed in to allow for the use of a mechanical gauge along with the factory gauge. This would let you know if it actually is going to zero.

If there are no noises, you may be able to rebuild the bottom end relatively economically provided you do so soon.

Where is the stock oil sending unit? Where the oil filter is? I haven't really even looked at the thing real close yet haven't had the time
