Default Ok everyone I need your opinion on this transmission.

I found this place on craigslist for a rebuilt tranny. He wants 649.00 for the tranny.

Is it a good deal?

This is a professionally Rebuilt 4L60E (M30) Automatic Transmission that will work behind any 1992-2007 2.2L 4 Cylinder, 4.2L I6, 4.3L V6, 4.8L V8, 5.0L V8, 5.3L V8, 5.7L 350 V8, 6.0L V8, or other GM, Chevy and GMC applications. Used in such models as Astro Van, Avalanche, Blazer, Camaro, Canyon, Caprice, Colorado, Corvette, Envoy, H3 Hummer, Impala, Jimmy, S10, Sonoma, Safari, Sierra, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Trailblazer, C/K Truck, Full Size Van, Yukon and many more. All transmissions come with a 6 month unlimited mile warranty. This transmission has a 6 clutch stackup with borg-warner high-energy commercial frictions used in the 3/4-clutch pack, borg-warner high energy band, all new clutches, new pump and tail housing bushings, paper, metal clad seals, new pump vanes, new accumulator pistons. This transmission also comes with a TransGO shift correction kit Model SK-4L60E. This kit is a must with this model transmission since there are many original equipment valve body issues. This kit replaces weak valves springs, accumulator springs, servo springs, and fixes other issues with this transmission. Overall the kit helps increase the life and durability of the transmission. Also included is the Sonnax TCC Regulator Valve #77754-04K/77754-03K depending on application, which requires a special reaming tool, that re-bores worn out aluminum 4L60E valve bodies which is an issue when time for a rebuild, and allows installation of this special high quality valve and sleeve, that lists for 50 dollars alone. This problem is the NUMBER ONE most overlooked issue by other rebuilders. One indicator of this issue is the P1870 Code, if this valve is not installed, even after a rebuild transmission can be burnt out almost instantly do to the overheating, pressure loss, valve blow by and in turn causing clutch failure. I have a many different models of the 4L60E transmission available, Including the 2 piece external housing type. I also have 4L65E M32 type models available which are very similar to the 4L60E with some upgraded parts. I also have many options for upgrades available, or custom high performance applications options, email me for details. If you are not sure of what type of transmission you have or want to know if this will work for you just email with the year make and model 2WD, 4WD.

Doesn't sound too bad, but that all depends on the reputation of the rebuilder. Anyone can attempt to rebuild a modern automatic transmission. Few can do it properly.
