Unhappy ok my 97 is killing me

alright, so i find this guy who has a decent looking 97 blazer 4x4 who posts on craigslist wanting a mustang. i see it and it looks pretty good and its 4 wheel drive so i offer to trade him. he accepts offer and 3 mos. later i think i got screwed out of the deal. maybe the fellow knew and maybe he didnt know. but regardless i have a piece of crap that i really like but cant afford to put much money in.
a few weeks ago i had this noise toward the front end, it was like the noise you got when you put a card in your tire spokes of your bike. when i put the 4 wheel drive on it went away. it did this for one day, so i quit worrying about it. well this week it started back up and the 2nd night of clicking i thought id call one of my customers from work to see if they would pull it in and look at it. so i get the call today, and ofcourse i cant remember everything he told me but waht i do remember is there was atf in the transfer case. he recommended me change the transmission seal and the actuator and hoses. well im not mechannically inclined so ahs this ever happened and do you know exactly what i need to do and about how much it will cost? thanks for taking the time to read my little drama money pit crap but any input would be quite helpful and thankful.
thanks

The transfer case fluid is ATF. If it's over full, you have to replace the input seal on the front of the transfer case.

As far as your clicking problem up front...
