Default one side of truck higher then other!

Ok I measured the left tow hook on my truck and it was 5/8" lower then the other, and I could see it was slanted so If I measured at the end of the truck I am sure it would be more pronounced. I need new shocks, I just rebuilt most of the front end and got new tires.. what can cause this...

Worn out torsion bar on the the side that is lower. About 2-3 turns on the lower side should even things up.

My 2000 blazer also has this problem.. so just cranking on the torsion bolts will level it back out then.. Or would it be better just to replace the torsion bar?

I would be better to replace both at the same time IF, in fact, you have a worn out tbar. Take a look at the rears springs, too. If you have one that is cracked it can also cause the front to be uneven.

If you turn the bolt and it has little to no effect then it is worn out. Just make sure you keep track of how many turns you do. One complete turn should raise that side about 1/4". If it doesn't it is probably time to change it out.
