Default Overhead temp reading 0 c, will not change to imperial

So few problems. one my over console temp will only read o deg celsius. and will not let me switch between imperial or metric. thoughts were that the temp sensor is faulty but the fact that i cannot switch it to imperial is giving me second thoughts.

Second i have a vibrating noise coming from what seems to be behind the dash. Just replaced intake manifold gasket and blower motor. with the blower motor replaced i no longer had a loud bearing. wen running the motor it is more prominent when cold and when trying to pinpoint the sound under the hood it seems to be coming from the area near cruise control on the motor.
Sounds similar to a bad bearing on a blower motor although is very quiet.

as for the temp reading try this:
hold the second button and attempt to change temps.
OR
hold both for i think 10 seconds to rest the system. cycle through the zones and get it set to you for a better compass reading while you're in there.
still nothing?

she done broke on you!

About the noise you are experiencing. Check to see if the cruise and/or throttle cables are touching the PCV vacuum hose. If they are, PCV noise can transmit into the cabin sounding like a stripped plastic gear somewhere in the dash behind the cluster.

Ya a no go with the resetting the system. So reading only 0 i guess im just going to have to go with assuming the sensor is shot and not giving any reading.
