overheating need help
02' blazer, v6, 2wd
Replaced water pump and thermostat 3 months ago at a shop. Car is still overheating. There seems to be a leak somewhere Been adding fluid every couple weeks. The heater does not blow hot air unless the truck is overheating. Smell of antifreeze during high temp. Hoses look fine and so does flow. Oil is clean Im trying to diagnose prior to having serviced so i dont get ripped off. I do all my tuneups etc but trying to avoid a DIY in this area. Any ideas what could be causing it to overheat besides the small leak? Something i could rule out? Thanks guys.
