Lightbulb oxygen sensor - constant malfunction - HELP

having an emissions issue. engine light has not stayed off longer than 93 miles. generally closer to around the 25-30 mark it comes back on though. replaced mass airflow sensor, air filter, bank 1 sensor 2 and bank 1 sensor 3 oxygen sensors, EGR valve & catalytic converter. Engine light code is for bank 1 sensor 2 malfunction.

not sure if this could be causing my problem but this is what i have tried... first attempt at replacing B1S2 O2 sensor proved to be a task in itsself and when it finally came out of the pipe it took the threads with it. tried to rig the new one in because i didnt have a new pipe to replace the one that was now missing the threads needed to screw the o2 in properly. needless to say, light came back on fairly quick. sensor malfunction. got the new pipe (which, thanks to my luck, happened to be the piece if pipe attached to the cat --only reason cat had to be replaced by the way--) finally after 2 days of trying to replace a cat that welded itself to the other part of the exhaust that it was attached to, put the same o2 in the new pipe and that day about 20 miles later the o2 fell out while i was driving and was just hanging by the wire harness. tried rigging it in a couple dif ways. in turn i further screwed up the threads on the sensor. traded under warranty, got new o2, light stayed off literally long enough for the shop to plug the emissions thing in at insp and it popped back on.. reset it, drove exactly 30.2 miles by time i was back in the bay for 2nd try at insp. passed. light came back on about 1 or 2 miles later. been on since. only code is B1S2 malfunction...

only thing i can think of at this point is, when i tried rigging the sensor those couple times after the new cat was in before i got the new sensor, maybe i messed up the threads in the new pipe...

def hoping for other ideas though! thanks!!!!

Ok, by time you buy the stuff you need to helicoil the pipe you will be at the same price as going to a muffler shop. Try to find a real mom and pop shop and tell them you need a new o2 bung welded in. Around $60.00.

If you can't find a bung anywhere you can get a spark plug non fouler and drill it out to use as one. Cheap and ghetto, but it will work.
