P0300 Code 4.3L vortex Engine
Just wanted to let everybody out there know that I found my problem with my P0300 code. Like I said I just got it back from son and this was the first weekend I had to look at it . I decided to put a cam sensor in it since every thing else was changed and I said well I would put a new cap and rotor on it while I was there. I pulled the cap and started to pull the rotor and I noticed some thing funny with the rotor it did not feel right when I went to loosen it up so I grabbed the rotor and pulled up on it and noticed that the upper shaft of the disturber would move back and forth. Yes sir the distributor was garbage,I had one in my garage put it in and it runs perfectly now. Now I can see why it sets the P0300 code because the rotor is moving all around under distributor hitting and missing the terminals on the distributor.
