Default p0305b

#5 misfire. Finally got to scan the PCM. It tripped this code. Disty is lined up, tune up about 10k miles ago and it's idling bad, knocking (wood knock almost)but otherwise runs ok. Car sat for awhile prior to intake gasket repair. Ran fine before repair.I can smell coolant sometimes but see no leaks. I took #5 wires off engine, ran about the same maybe a little different with a bogging like noise but nothing like i thought it would. Starts and drives fine otherwise and no leaks or smoking that I can see. I have about had it with this thing.

Check out the P0300 code in the DIY section. Much of the trouble shooting is the same.

I would check the resistance on the plug wire and pull the plug and have a look at it. Maybe run a compression test cylinder #5.

Hah, Nah I'm gonna keep it sorry. Worst case I'll throw a Jasper in. Hate to do it since motor runs great otherwise. I'm going to try and do a compression check this week. Should I stop driving it?

Please try to keep the discussion of your problem to one thread.

Have you performed the compression test? If so, what were the results? Have you taken a look at the P0300 Explained thread I mentioned above?
