Default P0452 Code

Can anybody give me some trouble shooting advice for the P0452 code on my 99 GMC Jimmy. I have already tried the gas cap with neg results. I do smell raw fuel from time to time and the truck is just horrendous on gas right.

The truck needs a Catalytic Converter in a bad way but I doubt the two are related.

I tried the search feature but it seems the P0452 Explained thread has disappeared.

By searching this Forum I have found lots of people suffering from the same problem but not a single post stating that they have fixed the problem.

Do most just ignore this problem and move on to the bigger fish?

Also looking for advice. I've changed the cap and replaced the sensor. Next is to check for the reference voltage at the sensor connector. I can't see any areas where the harness looked worn through or broke. Has anyone just rewired the reference circuit? Where did you tie in? Thanks for the help.

90safari-you did replace the sensor within the fuel pump module, right? Reason being, I've had the PO 452 before, more than once and that was it. New one-AC Delco? Good luck-Jerry

I replaced the one on the top of the module. Thanks
