This is what the Haynes book is telling me. How hard is it to change this? Any suggestions?

This really all depends on what your truck is doing?
If you have a very erratic idle, then this is mostlikely caused by a faulty CKP (crank position) sensor.
The diagnostic procedure for this code is not easy to do and does require a bi-directional scan tool inorder to accurately increase the idle speed and monitor the camshaft retard.

update:
Ok the dizzy was a tooth off and one of the spark plug wires were crossed, the mechanic was in shock that I even got it started!
But it starts and runs now but i got a new code i guess, it was for the CPI Fuel Injector spider
Now here is the thing...
I looked it up on the haynes manual and got an idea about how to do it, but when messing with fuel injection I am one not to mess with it not knowing what i am doing
Unless any of you have replaced one before that can help me with an idea of how hard it would be to replace

Well again, what is the truck doing that is making you suspect a faulty injection unit?

Well i have had the truck sent to the dealership as it was running like crap and having really hard starts...
Found out after two mechanics timed the truck, it was top dead center but 29 degrees retarded on the dizzy.O.o
so sent it to the dealership and come to find out that the computer base line for the timing had to be adjusted!
so it now runs and ty all for the help!
ps. still have a ton of work to do

Wow, that's odd... The programmed base timing isn't something that is easily messed around with.
